Facilities

Fresh and Foul Water!

There is fresh water available and foul waste disposal. More details here. Sorry there is no electric hook up or on-site showers. You are welcome to use generators but please only between 08.00 and 23.00. There is a provision to charge batteries if needed.

Toilets

There is a toilet on site but it is a walk away so we have arranged for 2 portaloos to be on the camp site from Thursday.

Please can those with caravans use their own facilities and leave the portaloos for those in tents or day trippers

Drinking (Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic)

If you fancy a trip out – we have Lilleys Cider at Frome (only about 15 miles away) with an impressive range of ciders and available in bottles and boxes and on your way back why not visit Still Sisters who have a large range of gins and gin liqueurs (both Lilleys & Still Sisters/Friarys have donated to this years raffle).

Or if you’re a beer person we have Box Steam Brewery (only 6.5 miles away) that have a lovely selection of locally brewed and very tasty beers! Finally if (like me) you are gluten free – we even have a gluten free brewery Stealth Brew Co in Melksham (only 3.7 miles).

Eating and Drinking

If you just fancy a walk, there is a pub that does good “pub grub” a short walk away and you can have the Clumbers in the “beer garden” in the nearby village of Semington.

The Somerset Arms in Semington is a very popular local with food, drink and within easy walking distance of the site via a path over the fields, and access to the canal not far from there.  Of course you can also drive to it. They have an outside area, so dogs are welcome!

They strongly advise pre booking tables for a visit as the numbers they are allowed are severely limited at the moment – 01380 870067

To drive, the postcode is – BA14 6JR, to walk, just ask Peter or Pam!
